Knowledge Systems & Practices is a Pakistan-based knowledge and implementation institution working across research, policy dialogue, training and technical assistance. KSP works with organisations to understand difficult problems, build the evidence around them, and carry that evidence into practice.

Research is only the beginning.
Most organisations occupy one part of this work. A research institute produces studies. An advisory firm produces recommendations. A training provider runs courses. A contractor delivers a programme. KSP works across all of them, and treats the joins between them as the difficult part.
In practice that means a study is designed with the decision it has to inform already in view; training is built with the people who will keep running it after KSP leaves; and technical assistance is delivered inside an institution rather than beside it.
It also means KSP is answerable for what happens after the report. Two of the institutions it runs — CORE Assessments and Central School International — exist because some evidence only holds up once you have to operate on it.

KSP works inside institutions, for the length of the engagement.
Systems, training and technical assistance are delivered with the people who will run them afterwards. When the engagement ends, the capability stays with the institution.
Pakistan does not lack analysis. It lacks analysis that reaches practice.

Multi-disciplinary analysis, fieldwork in Pakistani contexts, and the existing administrative record — read together, with what the data cannot show stated alongside what it can.

Policy dialogue, training and technical assistance turn findings into something an institution can actually run — designed with its staff, its constraints and its calendar.
